How to stay calm through Mars Retrograde 2022 ? 

 Mars the planet of war will be going retrograde as of October 30th 2022 

Mars, the God of War, ruler of Aries, will be going retrograde in Gemini, star sign associated with communication. 

This straight away tells us there may be some problems with communication, possibly a lot of disagreements and some heated arguments. 

What does Retrograde mean? 

Retrograde is the term used by astronomers for when a planet appears to be moving backwards. It is unclear whether the planet is actually moving backwards or if it’s an illusion. But every now and then a planet enters retrograde. 

What does that mean for us 

Astrologers believe that retrograde affect us in a similar fashion, if a planet is in retrograde then people, especially people associated with the planet may feel like they are moving backwards in life.  

Use this time to reflect, re-do, revisit, re launch, basically anything you have done before, astrologers believe that it is not the best time to start anything new.

Unlike Venus retrograde that lasts 3 weeks, Mars will be in retrograde for the next 2 months and a bit! In astrology, Mars is the planet of energy, action, desire and passion, it is the planet of ego and identity. All of these areas may be affected, but the overall theme of this retrograde is anger.  

Repressed emotions may arise to the surface, tempers may get lost, uncontrollable actions, overall a very dramatic time! Astrologers heavily predict that we will have a shake up in the media and government, so sit tight for that.They have advised that we don’t get wrapped up in any media in this time!  

It may also affect us individually, have a look at where Mars is in your birth chart. When Mars retrogrades we should sit back, reflect on life paths and be patient.

Mars retrograde plans to affect us all collectively so the best thing to do is to get yourself equipped for the next 3 months

7 things to remember and do during Mars retrograde.  

  1. You may over react  

Be prepared to be more irritated then normal. It may burst out of you, but if you can, try to hold anything in till January, this is not the time to start arguments. Equally someone who is not well equipped for the season may get snappy and start disagreements with you, stay calm, don’t engage!  

There may be fights and arguments on a small scale but also on a worldly scale. It is said that if you start a fight or initiate a war during Mars retrograde then you are likely to lose.

  1. This too shall pass 

We have to go through this transition. The world is rapidly changing and it’s shake ups like Mars retrograde are necessary. In the UK right now, we are on our 3rd PM and 2nd Royal in one year. This is already shaken up the country. Try not to get absorbed in the who ha’s of anything. It is a time to find silence in the chaos.  

  1. Truth’s may come to the surface  

In this time things may get revealed, that have been hidden. Try to stay calm and be thankful for the clarity. If you still feel betrayed in January this will be a better time to react.  

  1. Analyse Analyse Analyse! 

Try and focus on analysing rather than reacting. If you do react analyse your own reactions and responses. This is a time of retrograde and re-doing so observe, analyse and reflect! Be tactful and diplomatic when communicating witht others and avoid starting arguments.

This is also a good time to alter any behaviour habits that no longer serve you.

  1. All RE and no New 

Redo, re-launch, re-visit, re-initiate. This may be a time that you will feel like starting up new things, it may even make you launch into things impulsively. So, for the next 3 months relax, re fix anything that you have already started. Leave anything new for after the Mars retrograde. 

This is a good time to look at your life goals and make plans towards them, but it is just not a good time to execute them.

  1. Meditate  

Find time to find the silence. You will need this energy more than ever to stay calm through the chaos. This is not the time to over exert yourself, or you will end up tired and worn out.

  1. Remind yourself you are equipped 

You have now been informed, by myself or the other 100s of others that have spoken about this. When you find yourself in situations with this energy, remind yourself to watch and this will pass!
